In the wake of the tragic events that affected our community in 2019, The Kent Companies, a longstanding pillar of the West Texas community, recognized the need to channel grief into action. With a steadfast commitment to supporting the region’s youth and honoring the memory of those affected, The Kent Companies created the West Texas Strong Scholarship Program.

At the core of this scholarship initiative lies a profound dedication to investing in the future of West Texas. It is a testament to the resilience and strength of our community, a symbol of hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Who is eligible to apply? Any high school senior or college student who is a Midland or Odessa resident and plans to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Three students will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship. Whether you aspire to become a doctor, engineer, teacher, artist, or entrepreneur, we invite you to apply and join us in building a brighter future for our community and beyond.
